SUNDAY: CONSUMPTION
Don’t buy anything new (except for food!)
MONDAY: TRASH
Don't create any trash.
Pro-Tip: Check out Trash Audit & Trashion Fashion show hosted by the Eco Reps from 12 - 1 PM on Chapin Lawn to learn more about waste reduction!
TUESDAY: TRANSPORTATION
Only transport yourself through environmentally friendly ways such as biking, walking, public transportation or carpooling.
Pro-Tip: Join Scott Johnson for a canoe instruction session & trip on the Mill River! Learn about boating as a form of transportation from 1:30 - 3:30, meeting at the Boat House!
WEDNESDAY: FOOD
Only eat local food and cut down on your meat consumption.
Pro-Tip: Join the Smith College Green Team for a Local Foods Dinner at 5:30 PM in the Mwangi Center (1st floor of Davis Ballroom).
THURSDAY: ELECTRICITY
Cut back on your electricity use or stop it all together.
Pro-Tip: Saving electricity is easy as pie! Turn off the lights as you leave the room, and unplug your electronics when you are not using them to protect against vampire energy!
FRIDAY: WATER
Cut back on your water use.
Pro-tip: Join the Smith College Eco-Reps for April Showers and compete against your housemates to see who can have the lowest water usage for the week!
SATURDAY: GIVE BACK
Give back to your community.
Pro-Tip: Join Paul Wetzel and help save the American Chestnut species at a Seed Planting at MacLeish Field Station from 12:30 - 3:30 PM. Please email Sara Kirk ([email protected]) to reserve a space in a van for the trip!
SUNDAY: ECO-SABBATH
Unplug and reflect. You and the environment take a break.
Pro-Tip: Join Bike Kitchen for a bike ride at 1 PM to enjoy a beautiful spring day outdoors! Meeting at the Bike Kitchen, below Talbot House!
